SP500-Trading.com Trading Signals Review

Love Trading Buy/Sell Arrow Signals? Try This!
I was contacted back in June 2011 by www.SP500-TRADING.com asking us to complete a review on their trading signal service. As always, we were only too happy to oblige.

“I have created this end of day system to take positions based on price deviation, volatility and relative strength.”

We were added to receive signals via emails so that the singals were sent out to straight away and we started to receive emails within a couple of days.

The system signals were very straight forward. You either buy or sell or do nothing at the close day on the SPX (S&P500). The method also trades a maxium of 2 S&P E-mini futures contracts. We were also kept up to date when there were periods of inactivity.

Whilst the period we observed the signals over was not busy with trading opportunties the signals we did receive match (within reason) what is displayed on their website and the collective2 website where they are also monitored. The only thing I have noticed with the signals we received by email and those marked down on collective2 is the times of entry and exit seem to be a bit more varied with their data.

As it is a signal service it is very hard to judge the ‘system’ on anything other than the results as one does not have enough information to judge the basis for the method.

On this level the system performed as stated. The only thing I did notice was that that there were two different trades opened in one direction during our test period. Whilst these could be treated as two separate trades one could also perceive it as adding to a losing trade as the 2nd buy signal was lower than the initial entry. This is something to consider when deciding if this signal service is for you. However, it is worth noting that with most signal services you are in effect trading in the dark so really you have to make a judgement call on what it the risk involved.

There is nothing stopping you asking the vendor of this system or any other whether multiple positions are a feature of the service before trying it. I think any decent trader/system provider would be happy to be honest about that fact.

Sp500-trading.com has a very straight forward website with a client login to view current signals. The benefit of this service is that you can let the signals trade for your automatically. There are seveal brokers that will allow your account to automatically open and close trades and these are listed on the Collective2 site here. This means you an just let ‘someone else do the hard work for you.

You can subscrive to the SP500-Trading.com service for $39 per month and with only 5 losing months out of the last 18 (that had trading signals) and with a decent overall profit for the past two years it is definitely well priced.

Should you want to view the historical trading record you can join the mailing list here.
